Security systems for two homes

My husband and I have two homes, and we divide our time between them.

Our goal is to avoid the worst and enjoy the best weather of each location.

We typically head south sometime during November, and we travel back north again in the middle of May. It is a bit difficult taking care of two properties. Every time we switch locations, there is a lot of work required. One of the biggest concerns is security. We worry about leaving a home vacant for so many months. Although we try to make quick trips north or south during the six-month span, it would be too easy for someone to break in. There is also the worry over natural disasters. A tree branch could fall, pipes could freeze, or a window could get bokent. We finally solved this issue by installing a security system into each home. Because the systems are both wireless, they integrated without any disruption or damage, and we can easily make updates as new versions and improvements become available. I like that we can access the many features by way of an app on our smartphones. At any time, from anywhere, I can check out real time video from surveillance cameras. I can clearly see all different angles of the property, including the front and back doors. If anyone should approach the house, the lights are motion-activated and my husband and I receive alerts on our phone. There is an alarm that sounds when the door opens and sensors on all of the windows. We are able to lock and unlock the doors through our phones and even converse with someone standing on our front step.
