A young HVAC technician came to my house last week, and he was really good at his job. He was quick to take care of the furnace, and he also changed the air filter, and made sure there were new batteries in the thermostat. I couldn’t believe how efficient he was. While we sat talking about his service, my sister came in. She joined in the conversation and told him that if he had any time at the end of the day, he could check out her furnace. She wasn’t getting much heat in her bathroom. He said he had to check back with the HVAC company, but if she gave a call and told him when she got home from work, he would be there. The two of them really clicked, and I was thinking he was perfect for my sister. When my sister left, he finished with his paperwork and asked who she was. I told him she was my sister and gave him her name and address. I told him that was just in case he wanted to stop by and check out her furnace. He said he couldn’t do it without paperwork, but once he left work, he was on his own time. I knew I was right, and the two of them were feeling something. With any luck, by the end of the day, my sister would get asked out on a date by the HVAC technician. I knew I would be the responsible one if this happened, and I didn’t mind. I really thought the HVAC technician and my sister would make a splendid match.
