My acquaintance is one of those dare it all or go home people.
So, she has been in a DIY frenzy, trying to save money on things she thinks are doable without paying money; I admire her courage, but after her botched DIY heating and A/C repair, I’m not sure I want to be her neighbor.
Her heating and A/C component has been booming and cracking, so she decided to quiet that “baby” down. I was skeptical, so I provided her with a qualified heating and A/C repairman at a legitimate cost, she said there was no need for that. She had a manual picked from some internet heating and A/C professional who had tips on how she could solve the problem, so she thought it’d be as easy as gardening. She bought some new heating and A/C units and set out to work. An hour into the job, we heard a scream and ran over to help. She had been shocked, and while she hadn’t sustained only minor injuries, the entire heating and A/C had shut down. We called the local heating and A/C business, and they sent a skilled expert to assess the mangles the accident had on the heating and A/C upgrade. The electrical fault had mangled the entire unit, which the heating and A/C provider said would need to be changed, then everything, including the newly installed control unit, had been mangled. The DIY spoiled quality heating and A/C, so our acquaintance had to buy new quality heating and A/C units because heating and A/C brands do not offer a warranty for anything that has been interfered with. She has learned a high-priced lesson and keeps saying that if you need help with indoor comfort, call the experts first.
