They sent an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialist to the lake house last week, because I needed some work done on our oil furnace.
I had called the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company several times in the past, because I had been with them for over thirty years; Never had I had any complications with the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialists, or their work.
When the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialist got to the lake house last week, I could not understand a word he said! He showed myself and others his Heating, Ventilation, & A/C ID badge & I could not pronounce his name. He spoke with an accent that was so thick, that I c ouldn’t understand him. He tried to ask myself and others questions, but I didn’t guess what he was saying. I called the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company, & told them they had sent an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialist to our home, & I didn’t guess how to pronounce his name, & I didn’t guess what he was saying. The woman at the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company told myself and others his name, & I frowned. I didn’t guess if I could say it, but after explaining I wasn’t being rude, but I wanted an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialist I could understand, she sounded appreciate she was angry. I heard her huff & say that not all the people has perfect English. I wasn’t expecting perfect English, but I wanted to guess what they were saying. I knew I wasn’t going to get anywhere. I went to the living room & asked if he could write English, then both of us communicated with him writing things down, & myself and others replying in English. It wasn’t the easiest way for myself and others to communicate with the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialist, but it was better than putting up with the woman’s attitude. He thought it was funny that I was angrier with the receptionist than I was at him.
