Improving indoor air quality with filtration

I hate that it took something like covid to finally get me to pay attention to my health.

But that’s how it happened and perhaps that’s one of the few things that was positive to come out of the pandemic.

I sure didn’t enjoy working at home from the central air conditioning of my house. The offices I worked in were shut for a long while denying me my zone controlled HVAC and great view from my office. But that time at home provided me with the space in my schedule and motivation to change my lifestyle. Gone were the afternoons sucking down beers in the air conditioning watching some game. And in came getting out of the air conditioning and enjoying a walk. That’s just how simple the changes were initially. Soon after, I focused on my diet and doing other things to improve my health. Going to the gym was not really an option during that part of the pandemic so I sort of had a bit of a home gym. But all in all, my efforts really bore fruit. I ended up losing nearly 40 pounds and becoming as healthy as I’ve been in a very long time. So, I thought I’d keep that going when it came to the indoor air quality of our home. I learned about how important good indoor air quality is to our respiratory health. So I wanted to do something to improve that indoor air quality. And it was pretty simple really. All I had to do was trade out the cheap HVAC air filters for a HEPA filter. This HEPA filter removes more than 99 percent of all airborne contaminants. And it has greatly improved the indoor air quality of our home.
