When purchasing a modern car, more than likely, you’ll do research to determine what car you would care about to buy! You may test drive a few to make sure that they perform well. There are odd features on a car that some people may want, sort of like leather & temperature-controlled seats, sunroof, entertainment package, & more. So, the shopper will spend time shopping around for a car that fits their needs. Choosing to purchase a car is a giant investment & not something that should be rushed into. The same basically goes for purchasing a modern Heating, Ventilation & A/C appliance. When I needed a modern unit, I spent about a month researching my replacement Heating, Ventilation & A/C appliance. I had help from my Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker, as he was able to teach me about BTU & the SEER rating. If you don’t know, BTU means British Thermal Unit. It’s essentially a unit of measurement that determines how much energy the a/c needs to easily remove heat from the place. The SEER is the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio, which is utilized to measure the efficiency of a Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit. Before searching for a modern unit, I had no idea whatsoever what these 2 terms were. And once I became educated about them, I was able to dictate the size & efficiency of my modern Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment. As for the size, the general rule is that you need 20 BTUs per square foot of space. I have a 2,000 square foot townhouse, so I calculated that I pretty much needed a 60,000 BTU unit. I asked my Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment tech & he agreed with my conclusion & he was able to source the finest HVAC equipment for me.
