There were 2 big things about this relocation which had me a bit frazzled. For one thing, I’m nearing the end of my job and getting ready to jump to a new office was not what I had planned. But that was part of the succession plan the supplier wanted to use, so I was in. This new office is great. It even has zone controlled Heating and A/C. There is a control component right inside my private office. I can’t tell you how nice it is to be able to customize the heating and cooling inside my private office. That’s surely not the way it was back up north. I worked in an office where I had to bring a small space heating system for the winter time and a fan for the summer. The commercial Heating and A/C in that old building wasn’t the best. So I’m completely knocked out by this brand new commercial Heating and A/C and the zone controlled Heating and A/C. I’m equally knocked out by the performance of the heat pump in my home. When I left the north, I wasn’t so sure that a heat pump could replace the gas water boiler when it came to my heating needs, and granted, I live further south now however that doesn’t mean there is no need for heating. So I was quite skeptical when I encountered the first great cold snap in my new house. I had seen the local forecast and was prepared to get that seasoned space heating system out. But the heat pump was nothing less than amazing and diagnosed my heating needs like it was nothing. I’m just so stoked that all the stuff that I was so upset about has turned out to be so great. And when I retire, I won’t have far to travel because I’m already in the wonderful land of the heat pump.
