I am thinking about getting a better HVAC system for my house.
My mom keeps telling me that I don’t need to do that right now.
She seems to think that it would be a better decision to buy a bunch of new furniture instead. My mom is not exactly what you would call a practical person, that’s for sure. She has never been someone to make practical decisions, even back when I was a little kid. She wasn’t the one who taught me to save up my money, that’s for sure. It was always my dad. He was the only thrifty one in the house. I talked to him the other day about getting a new HVAC system for the house and he said that it was a good idea. He said that having better indoor air quality is always important for your health, but that having a higher quality HVAC system with better efficiency is a great investment. I have been thinking about possibly putting my house up on the market next year and so the thoughts of having a better high efficiency heating and cooling system made a whole lot of sense to me. Meanwhile, my mom was trying to get me to buy a new couch because it would look good in the house and make people want to buy it. I guess she probably has a point, too, but I’m going to go with the new HVAC system. I think that the return on investment for that is probably way better than for the new couch!
