We want to put a new HVAC into the old house

We really want to put a new HVAC system into the old house that we are restoring, but the only way to maintain the structural and historical integrity of the house is to put the new HVAC system in one of the closets.

If you know anything about older homes like this one, then you know that the closets are tiny, few, and far between anyway. We really don’t want to lose our closet space that we do have but we don’t really know what else to do at this point. It’s very important for us to make the place look like the old historical place that it is. The house is surrounded by a lot of other older homes and so the last thing that we want to do is to make this place look modern! It would just ruin the whole aesthetic of the place. We really don’t want to have that happen. Anyway, we are going to talk to one of the local HVAC companies around here who says that they specialize in historic homes and sites. They are supposed to be able to modernize the HVAC system without ruining the look of the place. We really wanted to do most of the work ourselves so that we wouldn’t have to pay for all of the work that someone else would have to do. However, since we need some speciality HVAC work done, I think that we are going to have to make an appointment with these guys. Hopefully, they will be able to help us out with some ductless mini-splits or another system that will modernize the place without making it look too modern.
