I should have known that the problem would persist or at least expected to continue dealing with the same issue every month
I have had a ductless mini-split system in my house to help with indoor comfort for three years. I ensured I had an a/c worker from the local cooling corporation coming over for a routine air conditioner tune-up. However, even the best quality HVAC systems still disappoint. First, the digital thermostat stopped responding, and then the entire HVAC installation gave in. I had no idea what had happened since it was only a short month after the air conditioner service had been done. I had to call the indoor comfort business and term it an emergency because it was still cold for them to send me an a/c professional without delay. After a brief inspection, the cooling specialist found that the coil in my unit was damaged, so I was having trouble running it. Immediately after hearing the diagnosis, the expenses I would have to foot felt threatening. Luckily, the only thing I needed to buy were the coils available at the local HVAC business. The specialist also suggested that I could opt to change the entire unit to an electric heat pump, which would save energy. I opted for repair. I should have known that the problem would persist or at least expected to continue dealing with the same issue every month. The fifth time the technician came around, he was keen to mention that my permanent solution was changing the entire air conditioning system. He had to show me an accounting sheet with the repair expenses versus the cost of a new unit for me to snap out of my fantasy that repairs would be enough.
