Everyone from grandpa to grandkids celebrates their special day, and the family comes together.
We are fortunate to live in a big town, but close to each other. So, every celebration we come together, four generations under one roof. It can get chaotic, but we also know how lucky we are that we have each other. Last summer, we were celebrating my 26th birthday, and grandma insisted I be at home. I wanted to sneak away with my boyfriend, but I also didn’t want to hurt her. So, we made sure to be there on the amazing day. The party was being held at my mom’s house, but she was having an issue with the AC. We got there early that day to help with the arrangements, and the house was quite warm. Mom said her AC had been acting up for a few days, and she was yet to get it checked. The cooling unit wasn’t that bad before, but it had slowly become worse. So, the best thing to do was contact an HVAC company to send a specialist. Thankfully, there is an HVAC company in the area that offers same-day service. It was 8 am when we placed the call and at 10, the HVAC specialist arrived. We all felt he was saving us from having to endure a birthday without adequate air conditioning. He took some time inspecting the unit, and noted there was a faulty part on the indoor unit. He went to his truck, got a replacement, and the AC was back on in no time. It cooled the house in 15 minutes and we all sighed with relief.
