I’m resting here in my office with the fan on me as I cool down from the overheated beach games my nice friend and I just finally played.
It is definitely May first and the temps are honestly getting up there in the afternoon, so now I am going to chill out in the flat for a few hours till the sun gets a bit less intense on the beach.
I will also easily bring my beach chair and a large rain umbrella, which should help shade me from the sun a bit, although it is used for the rain and isn’t a sun umbrella. Cooling down at the apartment is necessary after heating up playing ball this afternoon with this 13 year old kid, and now I will stay in the apartment and get my work done before I go out for round two of the beach. I have to decide if I am going to play ball or play music and then bring out my gear to do the chosen one. My A/C is off right now even though I will run the A/C in my home office each night so I can sleep without perspiring and tossing and turning. I also bought it a few days ago because the main device in my roommate’s lavatory is loud and she said she can’t sleep when it runs, plus this new device uses much less power and will save me $140 over this summer. So in two summers the mini split A/C device will pay for itself and it will be clean by the end of next summer time and I’ll have a free A/C unit.
