Furniture in jeopardy

I instructed dad on how to use it just in case.

The latest weather forecast is harsh and multiple people are scrambling to prepare for the incoming winter season storm. They are calling for cold rain followed by at least a foot of snow and I only hope that my associate and I don’t lose power. Whenever there is ice in the mix there is always the occasion that the power lines come down and that leaves multiple in trouble because they have no heat. I know that my family took precautions a few years back and installed a wood burning stove, however they have not had this year’s firewood delivered as yet. Any long term power outage will be a giant problem. When I asked my dad if she wanted to use the truck to go pick up some firewood she declined the offer and said she would be fine. She joked and said that she could burn the home office chairs if she needed to. I don’t think that my Dad would find that funny. Instead, I took over an extra generator that I had in the garage along with a gas can. I instructed dad on how to use it just in case. They have a few space furnaces that can run off of that if needed. I hope that it will never come to that or that my dad is not drastic about burning the chairs. My relaxing friend and I have been through storms like this before and all my associate and I can do is hope for the best. I absolutely think that my folks should look into the upgrade of a whole house generator too at this point.
