We live in a region that is not accustomed to temperatures in the 90’s. Our normal temps in the middle of Summer are between 68 and 72 degrees. This Summer my associate and I have shattered the record books. My associate and I have had more afternoons over 90 than in the past and everyone is over it. I know that I find it difficult to become motivated to accomplish much while in the afternoon. I know that there are chores to be done and my gardens look like I am intentionally growing weeds however I just don’t want to do anything. If I had a/c in the house, I guess it would be much better. At least after that I could sleep at night and feel more rested to face the afternoon My friends have central air and they seem to be enjoying this time of year much more. They can go outside, labor in the yard for a bit, and then go in and relax in the cool air. Because this is normally not a problem, I have never considered installing an a/c. Now that my associate and I have experienced this, I am going to schedule an appointment to get an estimate for one. Even if my associate and I go back to our normal summers next year I will be prepared for those afternoons when I need to cool off. I know that the investment will be well worth it. It will even improve my home value so that when I decide to sell the home I will recoup some of my investment. I only hope that my local Heating and A/C dealer has an opening soon for the appointment.
