This month was my first day back to labor after giving birth to my child a year ago.

I have mixed feeling about going back to work, however my husband’s contractor is starting to do layoffs so all of us want to be prepared in case he is a single of the unfortunate a singles.

I looked around for over a month at the local daycares in the area. I made sure to tour every single a single to make sure it would be the best fit for my daughters. When I toured this a single facility I was in utter shock by what I saw. This particular facility didn’t have a central cooling system. It wasn’t like the cooling system was on the fritz & they were waiting for it to be repaired, they just didn’t have a cooling system. Instead this facility had a bunch of box fans all over the daycare rooms where the children would be! I was horrified! There were cords tapped to the floors all over which is a major trip hazard especially when you have young children who are just studying to walk & they are still unsteady on their feet! Not to mention that little fingers could absolutely fit into some of those fans. Kids are curious, & they care about fans, I can totally see a curious child wanting to stick their fingers into the fan just to see what would happen. It seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Wouldn’t it just be easier to put the money into a cooling system that was safe for the children? I will not be using that facility for the care of my children!

 

Daycare nightmares that you don’t want to deal with

What is the grossest arena you can guess of? Go head and guess about it I will wait a minute.

While you guess let myself and others tell you what I guess the grossest arena is.

The airplane. I guess sounds absurd doesn’t it but easily guess about it. When your on a plane it is packed full of people from all over and at least 5 of those people are guaranteed to have a bug of some kind while at least 20 others will be carriers of a bug. Not to mention the people who were on the plane before your flight even boarded! Everyone was touching the seats, seat belts, trays, windows, the bathroom door, the overheads and the air conditioner knob. You guess the flight attendants aren’t going through and sanitizing everything before and after each flight. I wish the planes could have a top of the line air purification plan onboard that would help filter out all of the germs people carry on board. Would it not make air travel so much better if the air quality was somehow improved? Wouldn’t be nice to guess that while your on board the plane that you aren’t just breathing in recycled air that is still full of the germs from previous passengers, or your fellow passengers. Since it is a well known fact planes have more germs than an doctor’s office why not find a way to get a hospital grade air purification plan on board the planes?

I have a mix of good and terrible memories from private school having lived in a small town in the midwest. It’s difficult being in a community where you can’t hide secrets from anyone. If you hook up with someone, half of the school will guess about it in a matter of days. This was frustrating when trying to date because you couldn’t trust anyone with secrets. Just voicing the intention of wanting to ask another student out on a date would get passed along as casual gossip. This was maddening when all I wanted was privacy being such an introvert care about I am. I never had a lady until several years later when I was in graduate school on the other side of the country. The one positive that our private school had was the gas furnaces inside. The school was severely moderate from Autumn through early Spring. But by May, the temperatures would climb into the 71s and the school would quickly get severely uncomfortable. The air conditioner at the time was minimal at best, making the whole building both sizzling and humid right after a few weeks of pleasant weather. I heard recently that our seasoned private school ended up getting modern cooling systems just a few years after I graduated. Students there nowadays have a much more comfortable school experience. There are steam boilers that provide on demand heat during the freezing season and high SEER rated cooling systems for the moderate weather in late Spring and summer. The newer students have no idea what it was care about in that school before the Heating in addition to A/C systems were updated.

Some states have better hardware stores than others.

The socio-economic status of the part might come into play, because some of the nicest hardware stores are also the 1s that get away with high prices being in close proximity to the kind of people who can afford them.

My town has a fantastic mix of people so the people I was with and I have discount hardware stores and a locally-owned hardware store with the best selection at the highest prices. However, they have phenomenal sales on large ticket items at varying times throughout the year. I appreciate to look at their sales paper on the internet at least once a week. It’s not appreciate I’m shopping at hardware stores consistently, but I appreciate to assume if grills or other outdoor items are being gave at cheap prices. For instance, I have wanted a ductless mini split for our cabin office for the past year and a half, but I patiently waited for a fantastic sale. My buddy scored a quality ductless mini split for 50% off during a absurd close-out sale during the Wintertide season. They were trying to make room for heating equipment and space heaters. I finally found a wonderful ductless mini split at our favorite hardware store for 40% off recently and pulled the trigger within minutes of finding out that it was available at that price. Ductless mini splits are thoUnited Statesnds of dollars at minimum, so finding an entire system at 40% off was a major steal. It’s not everyday that you can get such a large savings on an overpriced appliance appreciate a ductless mini split air conditioner. It also covered the cost of replacement for the whole cooling system.

The college was harshly warm from Autumn through early Spring. But by May, the temperatures would climb into the 80s & the college would hastily get harshly uncomfortable. The a/c at the time was minimal at best, making the whole building both warm & humid right after a few weeks of pleasant weather. I heard recently that our old high college ended up getting modern a/cs just a few years after I graduated. Students there nowadays have a much more comfortable college experience. There are steam boilers that supply on demand heat while both of us were in the cold season & high SEER rated a/cs for the warm weather in late Spring & summer. The newer students have no proposal what it was love in that college before the HVAC systems were replaced.

I was planning on going to the beach later with my sand tote and doing a leg exercise routine. But after what happened this afternoon with my frosty swim I guess I am better off resting the rest of the afternoon. I got hypothermia this afternoon from staying in ice frosty water for too long. It was 55F, which isn’t ice frosty to me, but I’ve built up a tolerance and it can be to the point where it’s dangerous because my body isn’t giving me warning signs until it’s too late. I need to bring a watch for my next dip. So, I am wondering what kind of energy saving tips I can come up with to split down on this crazy power bill I just saw in my e-mail. Last year I spent about 100 euros every several weeks on power, now it’s triple that. They’ve raised the electricity rates a lot, and it’s made heating and cooling the beach house more of a luxury than a routine nowadays. I now have to guess about whether I should turn on the heat when it is frosty in the flat or just put on more clothes. Maybe it’s better on the environment with higher power bills because people are less likely to run the central heat and air conditioner all of the time, cutting down on yellowhouse emissions. I believe mother nature has her own built in barometer that tells her where we are polluting the planet too much and she slaps us on the wrist with higher power bills. I guess I’ve l received.

After the afternoon I spent in an ambulance due to hypothermia, the last thing on my mind is going for a swim again in that sea that almost took me today.

But tomorrow, it’s going to be business as correct when I go back again for another swim.

This time I will bring a timer & keep my dip to 10 hours or less. I did 30 hours this afternoon & got hypothermia so tomorrow I suppose I may even cut it back to 5 hours to be safe. I’m trying to heal my joint pain however don’t want to die. A nice space heating system beside me & a nice motion picture will be my treat tonight for the rough afternoon I had. I sold my crypto last night so I don’t need to be watching the charts anymore, which is nice. I suppose I will put my control component on a nice sizzling setting tonight & maybe even run it while I sleep which I never do. It’s interesting what happens to the body when it gets too frigid for too long. You lose your thinking when your body loses too much heat & if you don’t get in front of a gas furnace or some heat source suddenly, you could unquestionably die. I suppose I was close to that this afternoon because I was no longer able to walk & it was even difficult trying to suppose or talk. I’m thankful for my acquaintance who had his car there & got me inside in front of the vent, while his heating system cranked out the heat.

I would love to tear out my furnace, ductwork plus all of the vents plus replace the system with radiant flooring.

If it were cost-effective to totally change-out the oil furnace, I would invest in a boiler.

The boiler would install in the basement plus connect to a series of pipes under the floors. The components of the oil furnace would be actually concealed. They wouldn’t detract from aesthetics, take up expensive residing space or require myself and others to arrange my furniture around them. The radiant floor oil furnace would operate silently, require no maintenance plus never introduce dust or other contaminants into the air. With radiant flooring, the heat is spread evenly across the surface of the floor from corner to corner, and everything that touches the floor gets warmed up to further radiate heat. Because there are no drafts or frosty surfaces, it’s possible to set a lower temperature control setting without sacrificing comfort. Plus, radiant heat doesn’t overly dry out the air, avoiding the need for a humidifier. The heat rises slowly upward plus the temperature between floor plus ceiling never varies more than three degrees from the temperature control setting. I love that radiant flooring allows for zone control. With a temperature control in each room, I wouldn’t need to pay to heat unused areas of the house. Each family member could set the temperature control in their home office to their liking. The residing room wouldn’t constantly know a little colder than the rest of the apartment because of the big windows. I’d save money every week on my energy bills. If I ever have the chance to design plus build my own house, it will be equipped with radiant radiant floors.
