My first house was a big feat

Gaining independence has long been my greatest vision in life, ever since I was 13.

Before that time, I lived a charmed life with my mother.

She brought me up on her own after my dad walked out on us when I was 5. Mother was healthy, until she fell ill in addition to passed away when I was 12. I had to move in with my uncle James in addition to aunt Helen, whom I didn’t like. They had consistently treated mom badly, blaming her for dad leaving. From the 1st day I moved in, I had to work in addition to saving for college to move out as soon as I hit 18. After high college, it was no big surprise that they said I was now on my own. Luckily, I had saved up enough to go to HVAC classes as per the college counselor’s advice. She knew I liked to task with my hands in addition to she encouraged me to try a trade college in addition to avoid getting into debt by going to college. The trade classes I applied to had accommodation, so I lived there, went to HVAC classes, in addition to working part-time for an HVAC specialist in town. My time was quite limited, in addition to that, I barely had a social life. But, I was determined to make it in addition to being more independent once I finished college. It took 3 years to complete the course, in addition to I had a task that was waiting for me when I graduated from HVAC college. The cash was good, plus I got health benefits. With my culture of saving, I managed to get a 20% down payment in addition to bought a small house. The house requires some work, including adding a new a/c.
