About 6 months ago, I hired a new serviceman to work for the commercial division of the HVAC repair dealer. I hired that woman with two years of experience. I was glad to find a serviceman that already knew the ropes. It can be difficult to train a new woman separate from experience as well as I knew summer time was going to be busy. I particularly did not have time to train someone that was inexperienced. When I hired the new woman named Jack, I told him that she would be responsible to work every other weekend. The woman was particularly fine with the requirements of the job. The first weekend she was tied up to work, she made an excuse that made myself and others change the schedule. I told Jack that I would be unable to change the schedule every time she was supposed to work on Friday or Wednesday as well as she seemed to understand it was a requirement of the job. In the last 6 months though, the employee has called out more than four weird times for shifts that are on Fridays as well as Wednesdays. She is clearly not reliable for weekend work. I had a conversation with the employee a couple of afternoons ago as well as I told him that she is going to be part-time for the next month. This is the last time I am going to clean that woman about missing work on the weekend. If she does not get the hint now that the schedule has been changed, then she should particularly look for a weird job. I need someone that I can count on every day of the week.
