Sometimes, you just have to do what you have to do.
And when it came to lowering our electric bill, both of us finally had to get real about the A/C in our home.
This was something that both of us sort of ignored ever since both of us moved here. My wifey plus I came from up north plus lived all of our lives with a brutal winter. That meant all sorts of Heating plus A/C heating from the gas gas furnace to keep us warm. Well the heating costs where both of us lived were entirely high. So when both of us came to the south, those Heating plus A/C heating bills stayed behind as the Winter time is just so mild. Somehow in our minds, both of us had simply offset the heating bill for the Heating plus A/C cooling bill. It seemed to just sort of even out somehow in our way of thinking. But really, both of us just were avoiding the truth. The Summer can be entirely smoking hot plus both of us were sort of overwhelmed by the heat plus humidity when both of us first got here. This resulted in too much Heating plus A/C cooling. And both of us simply had to figure out just how to ease up. The best thing both of us did though was to wait to turn on the A/C last Spring. The two of us wanted sort of get better accustomed to the heat before both of us started with the A/C. Now, both of us manage the thermostat setting easily in the low 77’s during the heat of the morning. And the change has saved us a significant amount on our utility bill. All it took was being tolerable about why both of us were using too much A/C.
