There are so many HVAC myths

At times the thing that hinders people the most is lack of information.

When you don’t have sufficient information about a specific topic, it’s hard to understand it.

But, there’s also the belief in misinformation. Today, there’s so much misinformation that you have to be careful what you take in as the truth. Here is where myths are born which people tend to take as the gospel truth. A good example is the HVAC industry which has its fair share of myths. It’s better to address these myths once and for all while delivering the right information. First, there’s the myth that heating and cooling is quite expensive. Truthfully, it’s not possible to run a central heating and cooling unit for free. You need to pay for the energy, be it electricity, gas or oil. But, with better technology in terms of energy efficiency, central cooling and heating units are using less and less energy every day. The best thing to do is find a reliable HVAC supplier to sell you energy efficient units with a high SEER rating. That way, you’ll need less energy to stay cool in the summer and warm in winter. Second, central heating and cooling units recycle air that has plenty of dust. Quite frankly, the opposite happens as HVAC systems clean the air before it’s blown into your home. These units have air filters and some are fitted with UV lights to get rid of dirt, dust, and microorganisms in the air that can be harmful to your health. Third, central cooling and heating systems make too much noise. Modern central cooling and heating units make less noise. In fact, you can buy a unit with lower decibel ratings.
