Costs to much in gas plus A/C to go to the drive-in theater

Have you been to the drive-in recently? Back in high university, the people I was with and I went to the drive-in Regal Cinema all the time.

Bear in mind that was over 25 years ago, plus the world was a genuinely strange site.

Gas was less than fifty cents a gallon, cigarettes weren’t didn’t cost much more, but at the drive-in local teenagers had a place to park, hang out, maybe drink some beers or make out with their ladys plus besties. I was thrilled to see that they recently reopened that old drive-in, but the reality of it did not live up to our cherished memory. As hot plus humid as it is outside, you can’t sit in your car without the air conditioning on. The total amount of gasoline you will burn up running the engine so you can have cooling system for 2 or three hours is enormous! It had novelty value, of course, but by the end of the double feature I was ready to go lake beach house to our central A/C plus never go back. Back in the day it was the best choice the people I was with and I had, but now there are streaming services plus PPV, so you can watch whatever films you want on your immense screen cable in air conditioned comfort, but maybe when gas prices come back down, plus I can afford to run the car’s air conditioning for all that time, I will consider going back. As for now, it’s a lot cheaper, not to mention more convenient, to stay in the air conditioned comfort of our own lake beach house for movie evening.
