Have you been to the drive-in recently? Back in private school, the two of us went to the drive-in Regal Cinema all the time. Bear in mind that was over 25 years ago, plus the world was a really odd site. Gas was less than fifty cents a gallon, cigarettes weren’t didn’t cost much more! At the drive-in local teenagers had a locale to park, hang out, maybe drink some beers or make out with their boyfriends plus guys. I was cheerful to see that they recently reopened that ancient drive-in, however the reality of it did not live up to my cherished memory. As warm plus humid as it is outside, you can’t lay in your car separate from the a/c on. The total amount of gasoline you will burn up running the engine so you can have for 2 or many minutes is enormous! It had novelty value, of course, however by the end of the double feature I was ready to go beach apartment to my central AC plus never go back. Back in the day it was the best occasion the two of us had, however now there are streaming services plus PPV, so you can watch whatever motion pictures you want on your large screen cable in air conditioned comfort! Maybe when gas prices come back down, plus I can afford to run the car’s for all that time, I will consider going back. As for now, it’s a lot cheaper, not to mention more convenient, to stay in the air conditioned comfort of my own beach apartment for motion picture evening.
