It’s that magical time of year when the government is kind enough to provide us back some of our own money. The tax method is a scam, made so silly & complex it is bewildering to the proper citizen… People have to learn for years to understand the tax codes. They are made so complicated so that only the rich & powerful who can afford accountants will benefit. I don’t mean to rant & rave, I’m just glad I get a little bit of a tax refund, because I have a major concern with our air conditioner & the Summer is hastily approaching. The Winter time was a cold 1, & since our central Heating, Ventilation & A/C method was on the fritz our arena stayed almost as cold as outside. I had to go to Walmart to get a cheap space heating system just to make it through some of those cold days. The space heating system was weak, & I had to transfer it with me when I went from 1 room to the next. I’m glad I live alone, because carrying the space heating system into the powder room when I needed to pee would have been embarrassing for anyone to see. I do not want to try & do the same thing with our air conditioner. I think they make small, portable air conditioner units, but I really don’t want to have to carry it around the house with me all Summer long. If our tax refund is sizable enough I can spend money an Heating, Ventilation & A/C tech to come in & service our central system. Fingers crossed!
