Carrier and NATE is a good thing

I was debating on hiring between two HVAC companies.

  • One HVAC business was a lot cheaper and closer to my home.

However I noticed that their website was pretty basic. They talked about being on time, offering 24/7 service and maintenance plans. They didn’t have any real information though. The other company boasted about having Carrier products and NATE certified technicians. I looked up what all this means. Carrier is a superior brand of heating and cooling equipment. To be a Carrier Authorized Dealer you need to undergo training with the actual tools. You need to keep up with your education and knowledge in order to hold Carrier certification. To people in the industry, Carrier means dependable, reliable and high quality products. NATE certification is where the technicians have to do classes and log in field hours. Think of student teaching. That is basically what it is. After they do their student teaching, they take a test and get NATE certification. Not every contractor is licensed and certified. NATE certification is a good thing to have. So I weighed the pros and cons. I decided I wanted a better quality HVAC unit. I wanted to deal with competent HVAC technicians. I figured it was worth more money in the end to get the best quality products and service possible. I am glad that I don’t need to worry about anything with this company. They have the knowledge, experience and products to provide me with the best HVAC possible. Everyone should research before hiring their forever HVAC company.
