It is a pain owning air duct & worrying about it.
I am sick of dealing with air duct. First the air duct gets dirty a lot. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C plan is sucking up some pretty gross things. Your air duct gets hair, dust & pet dander up in there. Sometimes, due to outdoor ventilation, sticks, dead critters & dirt gets in the air duct as well. You need to be on with cleaning your air duct or you have polluted indoor air conditions. You can’t just hire any guy with cleaning device though. Another con of air duct, it is fragile. It is easy to destruction air duct when you scrub it. There are seams & turns in the ducts. Along those seams it is particularly fragile & easy to cut open. If there is a finished making seam or a hole in the ducts, you are letting your treated hair be leaked outdoors. The energy bills skyrocket & the Heating, Ventilation & A/C plan can’t ever turn off. If you keep it up, the Heating, Ventilation & A/C plan will require more repairs & prematurely chop down. The hole can be microscopic too & cause all of this. You need to find a contractor that uses a vacuum rather than a scrub brush to clean. They then take a video camera to check the inside of the air duct to ensure everything is all scrub in there. It is a pain owning air duct & worrying about it. I am looking into duct free Heating, Ventilation & A/C options. I have found I can do a ductless heat pump, mini split, heated flooring or just do a gas fireplace. They don’t require any air duct. It might be a better fit for me.
