I’ve spent a superb deal of time, currency & effort to make our home comfortable & charming. However, I completely overlooked the thermostat. I started looking into a modern thermostat & was surprised by the several models on the market, smart thermostats work through Wi-Fi, allowing access by way of an app on our iPhone. I can be tucked into bed, at work, at our son’s baseball game or away on trip & still make adjustments to temperature. I chose a model that includes all sorts of convenient features, including studying capability, then for the first week after the thermostat was installed, it kept track of when the two of us raised or lowered temperature. It created a program to accommodate our habits. The thermostat automatically adjusts to conserve energy when the two of us leave for work & college in the morning to conserve energy. The two of us regularly come home to ideal comfort & rarely need to make any changes to the temperature setting. I like that the thermostat sends alerts if there is a power outage, unexplained temperature change or it’s time to schedule service or change the filter. The thermostat also offers energy tracking, energy saving tips & measures indoor humidity. I can customize the touchscreen display & absolutely navigate through the features & programs; Although the thermostat was plenty expensive, it has truly paid for itself through lower daily energy bills.
