I have no need for a whole-lake cabin cooling system. The summer time season in my local area doesn’t last long enough for such a large investment. Sometimes, the entire summer time is cold & wet with gray skies. Even when the weather is especially hot & humid, my family spends most of our time outside. Both of us swim in the pool, play in the yard, toil in the garden, kneel in the sunshine & barbecue for supper. The greatest concern is the home offices becoming hot & sticky, making it just about impossible to sleep at night. I solved that problem with window air conditioners. I was lucky to buy cooling units for each of the home offices on sale from 1 of the local lake cabin improvement stores. The air conditioners are appealingly compact, lightweight & they installed entirely into the windows. Both of us store them in the attic over the Wintertide & carry them downstairs when the weather warms up. It takes less than 5 minutes to situate the cooling units, plug them in & beginning them up. They entirely maintain a comfortable temperature in the home offices. Even on the hottest & most humid summer time afternoons, all of us love a cold environment for sleeping. I’m not bothered by traffic, road construction, barking dogs or early day birds. I can entirely make adjustments to the fan speed, temperature & access all the several features by way of a cordless remote, plus, the air conditioner circulates & filters the air, removing dust & other contaminants.
