There was a crucial fight at a basketball game in the city.
- The game was honestly part of a four-on- four tournament.
There were hundreds of players from all over the town playing in the tournament. There was a $100 entry fee for every single team to compete and the winning team of 4 were set to win $2,500 and a five-day holiday to the Tropical Islands. During the last game, a single of the players was physically striked. One player was pissed about the ref’s call, and he pushed the other player and the ref called a foul. Right after the ref called a foul, the guy attacked the referee. He started kicking the guy. It genuinely was a single of the craziest things I have ever seen at a game. The basketball player lost all of his control. Three guys had to risk themselves injuries to stop the fight. The police were called and the basketball player was pulled away from the property in handcuffs, a week later. The player had to sit in front of a judge. The guy found a legal attorney to represent him in the critical case. The attorney fought hard to get the guy a decent break on the charges. The attorney worked so hard and meticulously, that he won the case and the player did not have to spend a single day in jail and he did not have to pay a single dollar in restitution to the referee. I don’t actually believe that it is honorable for people with a huge amount of money to get away with crimes, just because they can afford an expensive attorney. The guy attacked the ref unprovoked and in my own opinion, he should have at least had to pay for injuries that he caused and serve a bit of time in jail for assault and battery.
