Starting my own graphic design business

Last year, I decided to go out on a limb and quit my job of 20 years, however this is a big deal because the reason why I decided to leave was because I had reached the dreaded glass ceiling; And there was no more room for growth within my department, so, it was time for me to part ways with the company! Well, the company I worked for was a graphic design business.

And though I worked in the finance department, I learned a lot about the service they provided.

I was even fortunate enough to take a few design classes along the way, so I was able to become familiar with some of the software. Well, these classes came in handy because when I quit our job, I decided to begin a design business, and now I am designing logos, corporation cards, posters, and even book covers for my clients. The operation began small, even though I am now at the point where I need to hire someone to help me. For now, this will only be on a part time basis. however the person will need to have some experience with graphic design and sign production. I have just landed a major subcontract with a construction company in my neighborhood and the contract is for the graphics and signage package. While I know that I will be able to execute the contract, I must disclose that I am a bit sad about the deliverables. My hope is that whoever I hire to help me will be able to assist in completing the design package favorably.
