There was an immense confrontation at a basketball game in the city.
The game was actually a part of a four-on-four tournament.
There were quite a few players from all over the town playing in the tournament. There was a $100 entry fee for each team to compete plus the winning team of the whole thing won $2,500 plus a multiple-day getaway to the Tropical Islands! During the past game, one of the players was attacked… One player was not too pleased with the ref’s call. He pushed the other player plus the ref ended up calling a foul… When the ref called a foul, the guy chose to attack the referee. He started punching plus kicking the guy like crazy… It was one of the most bizarre things I have ever witnessed. The basketball player lost all of his control. Three men had to put an end to the fight. The police were called plus the basketball player was easily escorted from the property in handcuffs! A month later, the player had to plead in front of a judge. The guy found a legal attorney to represent him in the case. The attorney fought a great deal to get the guy a break on the charges. The attorney worked meticulously, and he actually won the case plus the player didn’t have to spend time in jail plus he didn’t have to pay a single dollar in restitution to the referee. I don’t suppose that it is legitimate for people with currency to get away with crimes, just because they can pay for a nice attorney. The guy attacked the ref for no clear reason plus in my personal opinion, he should have had to spend money for the injury plus serve a few days in jail for assault plus battery.
