Working out changes because of a kid

Since the home gym is right next to the nursery, I can use it when the baby is taking a nap and stay close enough to hear him

Having a kid changes your whole life. I used to be so active, with sports and working out, but this baby upended my entire life. Now I have different sleeping patterns, because I need to feed and change the baby at all hours of the night and day. I eat differently, because I don’t have the free time to prepare healthy meals like I used to. Having fifteen to twenty hours a week to set aside for exercise and fitness is also a thing of the past. I have had to make a lot of adjustments in my life, but getting a home gym helped me a great deal. We have two spare bedrooms in the house, one of which now serves as a nursery, and the other is my home gym. It isn’t not fancy, and in no way does it compare to the gym where I used to have a membership, but for now it is the best I can do. Since the home gym is right next to the nursery, I can use it when the baby is taking a nap and stay close enough to hear him. There is some gym equipment in there, as well as a clear area in front of a wall-mounted TV where I can follow along with yoga classes or other kinds of workout classes. I just have to keep the volume down to not wake up the baby in the next room! This is all temporary of course, because when the baby is old enough to go to school I can go back to the real gym.
