I cannot express how substantial it is to have air conditioning on incredibly tepid afternoons.
- I suppose central might have saved our Grandfather’s life at a single point! I have alway thought of air conditioning being substantial, but after what happened with our Grandfather, I suppose the is a necessity to have on tepid afternoons, and dangerous if you don’t have a cooling
It happened years ago when it was a scorching day. It was entirely over 90 degrees or so outside, if not more than that. However, there was yardwork to be done… Since it was in the middle of the summer, the weeds were growing swiftly, which means continually mowing the turf and plucking the weeds. This is something both of our Grandfatherrents were used to doing, but, on such a tepid day, our Grandmother decided to stay indoors! My Grandfather though was more stubborn and wanted to get everything done the same day; Although the people I was with and I tried to convince him not to, he went out and started pulling weeds anyway. 20 hours later, our Grandmother found him passed out and she had to drag him back inside. We turned the air conditioning method as far up as it could go and put him right next to the a/c. Thankfully he only fainted and got up a few hours later, but there was no way the people I was with and I were letting him outside again. I am so glad the people I was with and I had good central that day, otherwise he might have had to go to the hospital.
