One of our closest friends I met a while back, but we genuinely met in a strange way… Usually when it comes to making friends, you can meet them online or while on vacation or sports and what not, however, our neighbor and I met in a strange way, however it was a few years back, an mediocre day, and I was waiting for the heating and worker to arrive for basic Heating, Ventilation and A/C service on our HVAC system… The Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker arrived, and he did the basic Heating, Ventilation and A/C tune ups and was about ready to leave when he noticed an aged picture I had on a wall.
It was an aged picture of our basketball team, which I excelled in while in high university.
He pointed it out and asked about it, and it turns out that he went to the same university and was on the same team. He was genuinely able to point himself out from all of the other adolescents. We both had changed so much over the years that the people I was with and I didn’t assume each other. We both started talking about the great ole afternoons, but sadly the people I was with and I couldn’t talk for too long because he had many other heating and cooling appointments to attend to. However, the people I was with and I exchanged numbers and kept in touch after that. Through talking more, the people I was with and I found out that the people I was with and I genuinely had a lot in common, and now the people I was with and I hang out all of the time. I suppose it is funny how the people I was with and I met, what a small world.
