Surprising our mother with anything can be easily difficult.
I don’t guess what it is, although she often has this intuition that the two of us are going to do something for her, and she is also incredibly nice at guessing what it is, even if I had talked about what our plans were. This can be incredibly annoying sometimes, because it takes away the element of surprise. So I decided to surprise her with something I knew she would never guess. I remembered sometime back she told me about how she was uncontent with her current control unit. This offered me the idea of the smart control unit, but since her birthday was weeks away, I wasn’t sure if she would still be interested in a current control machine by then. So, when her birthday was only a month away, I nonchalantly brought up our own control unit, to see what she would respond with. She complained about her current control unit, and how it had started to malfunction, and how she was planning on calling a HVAC specialist out to repair. Now that I knew that she was still interested, I had to act fast. I bought the smart control machine from the HVAC company website and had it shipped the same day. When it arrived, I proudly presented it to her and finally, she was surprised. I am cheerful I was finally able to surprise her, and just in the nick of time too, because she already had an appointment with the A/C professional tomorrow. Now all she has to do is get the current control machine installed!
