A bit of a change when it came to HVAC upgrade

This spring, the HVAC technician let me know that the heat pump might not make it through the summer.

It was not a shock when the HVAC technician came to the front door with bad news on the heat pump. This was something that I had sort of been expecting for some time. In fact, when the HVAC equipment turned 20 years old, I even started saving to replace it. But that old HVAC unit just kept getting it done. That has a lot to do with all the HVAC maintenance we provided the HVAC unit over the years. From the time that heat pump was installed, we made sure it got proper HVAC maintenance. That meant there was an HVAC technician out in the fall to do the HVAC heating maintenance. Then in the spring, the HVAC professional was back to do the air conditioning tune-up prior to the summer heat. Not only did the HVAC maintenance help with longevity and avoiding breakdowns, the heat pump was always running at peak efficiency. These days, we belong to the HVAC service plan which keeps me from having to put the HVAC maintenance on my calendar. The HVAC company simply emails me with a date and all I have to do now is confirm. This spring, the HVAC technician let me know that the heat pump might not make it through the summer. Rather than wait, since we had the money saved up, we went ahead with the HVAC equipment upgrade. And man, is this residential HVAC something else. It’s just the best quality heating and air that I’ve ever experienced. We’re just over a month into summer and this new heat pump and all the HVAC technology is costing 25 percent less to operate!
