I’m severely cheerful to say that the past few years have been some of the hardest of our entire life… Don’t get myself and others wrong, I am not happy about the struggles that I went through.
However, I can say that I have come out as a odd person on the other side of them.
Namely, I would say that I have gotten a lot more self-reliant and far less high repair. Living outside in a tent will do that to you. However, there is a single area where I am still severely picky. I really cannot sleep at evening unless I have particular conditions, including our indoor air pollen levels and air temperature. Meaning, there’s no way that I can get any shut eye unless I have ice cold a/c and a powerful ventilation system on our side. You might blame our Northern upbringing for this Reliance on cold, circulating indoor air. It is not enough for myself and others to have a weak a/c providing indoor comfort. Hell, it isn’t enough for myself and others to have a super powerful and high tech a/c in site. On top of that, I STILL need to have a fan running at full blast in the background. I savor the feeling of ice cold air all around our bed as I snuggle down into the blankets to shield against the legitimately air that I’m paying for. It’s even more satisfying when that air is circulating… blasting your body with a powerful air flow. The noise that the AC and fan supply don’t hurt, either. Without both of these measures, I’m doomed to lie awake all evening covered in sweat and suffering. I wish I could iron out these final points of Heating and A/C-based high repair.
