Leave it to the worst global health crisis in our lifetime to finally motivate me to do some stuff around the house.
I’d always had the great excuse that I worked too much to do all the stuff my wife wanted done around the house.
Yet, I was too cheap to hire a handyman to do the stuff either. So we were sort of at a stalemate inside the quality heating and air of our home. Then the pandemic hit and I could no longer work from the zone controlled HVAC of the office. Instead, I had to come home and work from my own air conditioning. Turns out that I was better at working from home in my own air conditioning than I thought I’d be. I went from hating it to loving it. Unfortunately, when the zone controlled HVAC in the office was kicked back on, I had to go back to the office. There was no permanent remotely in my own air conditioning for me. But while I was at home, I scored some major points and took care of my wife’s list of improvements and repairs. I even went so far as to take back the garage as well. I not only cleaned that joint out but I also added some residential HVAC as well. The HVAC company added a ductless heat pump to the garage and I love it. Having quality heating and air inside the garage has opened up a whole new space to me. It’s really nice to have somewhere to be by myself and act like I’m doing more of what’s on my wife’s honey do list.
