Pulling back on the temperature control this summer

Yet, the greatest change has been the temperature control setting

It’s July in addition to the people I was with and I aren’t even half way through the Summer heat in addition to humidity. In this region, you can count on near triple digits in heat in addition to humidity from July through September. While the people I was with and I aren’t all that far from the mid point of all this heat, I’m at least encouraged with the Heating as well as Air Conditioning cooling costs. Since moving down here, I undoubtedly didn’t do much during the Summer but pour on more Heating as well as Air Conditioning cooling. This was undoubtedly what felt care about the only option when it came to managing this sort of heat. For sure, I was more than willing to trade the gas furnace for the heat pump in the winter. And truthfully, for 8 months of the year, there undoubtedly isn’t better weather anywhere. But the multiple months of Summer are the cost of all that good weather. So this year, I decided to get a bit more realistic with the a/c in our home. Honestly, I guess that too much a/c was making the Summer heat even more unbearable. It was care about I couldn’t go anywhere there wasn’t Heating as well as Air Conditioning cooling blasting. And that’s just stupid. So this year, I tightened up the home to keep the Heating as well as Air Conditioning cooling in in addition to the heat out. Then, I installed some solar drapes to stop the direct daylight heating as well. Both of those preparations have made a immense difference in how the people I was with and I are cooling our home this summer. Yet, the greatest change has been the temperature control setting. All of us are just so much more focused on keeping the temperature control no more than 15 degrees cooler than the peak afternoon temperatures. And it’s working.
