All of us met in university as I jumped at the chance to go to school in the sunshine. She hated the winters but was willing to deal with them as the people I was with and I raised our family. So as I approached the end of the line inside the zone controlled Heating as well as Air Conditioning of the corporate offices, she was making plans. And those plans were all about moving to the south in addition to enjoying the sort of weather that she had missed for 30 plus years. Once I retired, our wifey already had it all planned out. All of us replaced the Heating as well as Air Conditioning unit in our family house in addition to sold it for a bundle. Now, the people I was with and I are in a smaller, 2 living room home that has a good immense sunroom. That sunroom also comes with a ductless heat pump so the people I was with and I can care about all this sunshine no matter the season.
