Dealing with thermostat rules in the AirBnb

I recently stayed at an airbnb for a weekend getaway.

I had heard that the owners of airbnb’s sometimes have obnoxious rules for their guests… Despite the fact that I figured it was a rare occurrence, and once I got settled, it didn’t seem as if I had been left any instructions, until I found a sticky note taped to the temperature control.

It indicated that the temperature was to remain at 74° at all times, never to be adjusted for any reason. I hadn’t entirely thought too much about the temperature in the home until I learn that stick note as well as I began to guess that it was excessively warm, then maybe it was a psychological thing, despite the fact that I abruptly felt quite miffed that I was expected not to adjust the temperature control to our desired temperature. I was paying pretty relaxing currency to stay there for 2 nights. I enjoy things on the cooler side when it comes to temperature control settings. I started to think about how exactly the homeowner would be able to tell if I had adjusted the temperature control, perhaps, if I set the temperature control to just a few degrees cooler, the energy bill would not greatly reflect the increase in cost. I usually love tepid showers, despite the fact that I thought that maybe I should take very short ones to increase our possibilities of getting away with a lower temperature control setting… But after nearly forty hours of sitting on the couch in the afternoon dreaming about multiple ways that I could get away with setting the temperature control to a temperature that I number one, I realized that I wasn’t even enjoying our vacation yet!! People can entirely get into your head when they locale boundaries on what you’re allowed to do!
