Today I discovered that my grandfather used to be a heating and cooling worker! Who would have known? In my family, I didn’t know that we had any heating and air conditioning workers. As a matter of fact, it looks like the people there in my family actually were construction workers. At least some men were, the women in my family most of them chose to be stay at home wives. There are some women who decided to go into the workforce with my family but the majority of them wanted to stay home with the kids. This seems to be a generational thing in my family. I have been feeling nostalgic today so I wouldn’t have to go through some old photos and I remember that I left the box of photos up in the attic. So I made my way up to those old wooden stairs and pulled out that equally old box, and started going through my old photos. I just went to one of the pictures. I saw a picture of my grandfather right next to an air conditioning system that he had just repaired. He had this big grin on his face and looked really proud of the work he had done. I don’t remember much about him being a heating and cooling order and so when I called my dad I decided to ask him what he remembered about his father being an HVAC worker. My father told me that my grandfather left working in a heating and cooling industry because it meant that he could help people. He explained that people were really happy with her heating and air conditioning systems back then because heating and AC was a little bit newer, it hadn’t been around as long as the people took great care of their HVAC systems back then. So my grandpa left going around repairing the people’s broken heating and cooling systems and just helping them out.
