Sealing up some drafts in my home

Within the past week or so I have noticed that my home is feeling much cooler than usual.

Now the thing is with me is that I’ve always had a naturally cool home, I like the air conditioning in my home to be more on the cool side. However, this was too cold even for me and I knew that there was something going on and so I decided to look around the house. I would notice that when I’d be sitting in different rooms, particularly in my bedroom, that I would feel a cold draft and I knew it wasn’t from the air conditioning unit because the air vent wasn’t anywhere near my bed. This means there had to be a draft somewhere so I started checking around all the windows to see if I could identify where the cold air was coming from. It didn’t take me too long to find the source of the draft, the draft was from the window and the ceiling around the window has become worn and undone. Having drafts in your house isn’t good because if left unchecked, because you’re heating and air conditioning to work harder and therefore that would cost you more and energy bills. Thankfully I didn’t have to schedule a heating and cooling appointment for something like this, I already know exactly how to fix it. I went to the hardware store and picked up some more sealers and got to work sealing up the gaps. No more cold spots for me.
