The youth counselor needed sponsors for the program

I have a successful heating and AC repair business.

I received a call from the pastor at my church. He was looking for sponsors for the youth sports program and he wanted to know if I would be interested in becoming a sponsor. It’s really hard to say no to a phone call directly from the church official, so I fibbed a little and said I was more than happy to help. The pastor gave me the name of a woman that would contact me later that day to give me more information. I did not know what to expect and I honestly wasn’t exactly sure what I agreed to do. The pastor did not mention any money or services. I received a phone call later that afternoon from the woman that he mentioned. The woman gave me more information as well as a website that outlined all of the program. I was happy to help sponsor the youth sports program. I have been a member of the church since I was a kid. When I found out that the church simply wanted a $500 donation, I was happy to double that amount. I have a successful heating and AC repair business. A lot of my customers are parishioners from that same church. Their kids go to the same school as my children. My heating and AC repair business thrives because of the community, and a $1,000 donation to the church youth sports program seemed like a good use of my money. These donations and others like mine will pay for repairs to the gymnasium and new sports and safety equipment.
