Whenever I came over to my friend’s house, I noticed that he always, without fail, had his air conditioning unit running.
I know that that is a weird thing to notice, and most likely, I wouldn’t have noticed it if it wasn’t for the fact that his heating and air conditioning unit is incredibly loud.
Probably one of the loudest heating and air conditioning devices I have ever heard. While I know that most furnaces and air conditioners aren’t silent, they still don’t make as much noise as his does, I know for sure my own cooling machine doesn’t. Anyways, it got to the point where I couldn’t resist not knowing, and so I asked him why. Apparently my friend always has the HVAC system running for two reasons. One, he enjoys the cool air. Two, he has the air conditioner service plan with the local heating and air conditioning company, and so if it ever breaks down from too much work, they would just come and fix it for free. I told him that I didn’t think that would be a good idea, but he disagreed and said that he has been doing this for months without issue. I couldn’t begin to imagine what his bills looked like. Anyways, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to persuade him out of this, at least I know there will always be nice air conditioning at his place if I ever need it. But for me, I think I will stick to running the cooling machine only at night.
