My old coffee table was the perfect knock-off.

For the last few years, I have been showing off my killer coffee table as being an antique.

  • It was sold to me as being an original shaker table.

The color was pitch perfect for being a shaker table. Everything about my shaker coffee table screamed antique shaker table. When my sister Jo came to my house, she asked where I picked up the knockoff. I asked Jo what she was talking about. Jo nodded toward my coffee table. Jo told me it may be an old coffee table, but it was the perfect knockoff for an antique shaker table. I felt devastated. I argued with Jo plus told him that the salesman who sold it to me assured me it was an antique shaker table. Jo told me she had signed papers making him the owner of the Empire State building plus needed to know if I wanted to buy it from him. After slapping Jo on the arm, I sat down plus stared at my coffee table. I couldn’t guess that I had been duped so badly as to guess that it was an antique; Now that I looked at it, I realized that there were screws holding the top of the coffee table to the legs. Jo saw how distraught I was, plus she patted my back. Jo told me that even though it was a knockoff of an antique, the coffee table was still quite cool looking, plus unless I paid a large amount of money it was still worth something. I wanted to ask Jo what she considered a large amount of money, even though I was quite sure I paid more than what she was thinking.
