Good riddance, HVAC system

I want to get rid of my heating and cooling system, but I’m sure I can’t.

I’m not saying this because I want to go off grid! I know there are people who want to get rid of their technology and survive without electricity; they will abandon their HVAC units.

I don’t plan on living without electricity any time soon, and I do not want to get rid of my HVAC unit. I would be miserable without my central air in the hot, humid summer, and I would absolutely waste away without my furnace during the winter. The reason I want to get rid of my HVAC is that I am very annoyed with it right now. My system has been costing me a lot of money lately, and I don’t know if I can afford to keep fixing it all the time. HVAC specialists charge handsome sums of money for repairs, and I can’t afford to keep paying these high prices. I have an older furnace and an older air conditioner, and I know that they are going to need to be replaced in the next few years. However, I cannot afford to replace my furnace or my central air right now, so I am easily stuck with them. I must keep them working until I can save up enough money to replace everything. Unfortunately, I have been spending so much money on HVAC repairs that I haven’t been able to save up much money, which is totally ridiculous.
