That’s when I found out that it was broken.
I broke an ankle at work the other day and I am totally and completely ashamed. I wasn’t even working on a heating or A/C system repair. I was back in the stock area moving some of the old boxes around. The boss Ed told me that all of us had a box of air filters in the back anywhere and he wanted me to locate them all. I moved a bunch of crap from the storage room so I could find the box of air filters. The filters were entirely near the locale where my boss thought they would be. There were entirely more than one boxes of the heater filters in that particular location. I had to put everything back on the shelves. I was carrying the boxes when I slipped, stumbled, fell, and broke my ankle. I couldn’t even get up to walk. The box was entirely heavy. I leaned against the boxt to put most of my weight on the box and then I finally had the ability to stand up. I hobbled over to an emergency intercom cellphone and I called for help. I had to go to the emergency room and get an x-ray done on my ankle. That’s when I found out that it was broken. I actually have excruciating luck. I was doing my level best to do the right thing and help the boss look for something that was missing and I ended up with a shattered ankle. Thank goodness I still get paid a little bit at work. Since the accident happened at work, at the heating and A/C repair shop, I can work light duty or get paid 60% of my wages.
