I want to get rid of my furnace

I want to get rid of my oil furnace, but I need to make a plan if I want to get rid of my oil furnace.

For the last few years, I have become increasingly worried about society.

I have been studying plenty of books about living off-grid; living without electricity. I would also live by farming my own food and providing myself with everything I need. I have grown worried about the way our government is acting, and I assume it might be entirely wise to learn how to live on my own. However, one detail that I need to figure out is how I am going to replace my oil furnace. I live in the north, where it’s important to have an oil furnace. I could transfer to the south, but I can’t really afford to move. Besides, I have an unbelievable piece of land where I live, and I would rather stay here even without a furnace. I have found some wood-burning stoves that might be able to update my oil furnace, but they are costly. You can install these wood-burning stoves as a furnace outside, but this means you have to go outside always to keep it warm. Furthermore, this wood burning stove can also replace your oven to help you cook. If I am serious about living off-grid, after that I guess that I may have to get rid of my oil furnace. If there was any chance that the government would attack us, it would be through electricity, and I am totally dependent on electricity for heat. That needs to change, and replacing my oil furnace with a wood-burning stove is the first step.
