Should I get a wood stove instead?

I would have to prepare to heat my home every winter by cutting, stacking, storing, and preparing enough wood to heat the house

Should I purchase a wood stove instead of an oil furnace? I am building a house, and have been trying to decide what kind of furnace I want. When I first started building, I was planning on an oil furnace in the house. I have typically had oil furnaces. They make life so much easier. Sure, oil furnaces are costly, and oil furnaces run up bills consuming either gas or electricity, but these furnaces are extraordinarily dependable. Down the road, it might cost more currency when I have to pay an HVAC worker to fix my oil furnace, but I am already used to that. I think that I would be pleased with owning another oil furnace in my house. Some of my friends are convinced that I should skip the oil furnace and purchase a wood stove. I could use a wood stove and save a ton of currency. Most people install a wood stove in the basement and heat their entire home this way. You can connect a fan to the wood stove and even have this wood stove pipe heat through standard vents, like an oil furnace. I have the woods to be able to use a wood stove, and I would save money. However, thinking about using a wood stove is exhausting. I would have to prepare to heat my home every winter by cutting, stacking, storing, and preparing enough wood to heat the house. If I don’t have enough wood for my furnace, buying wood is very costly. Furthermore, using a wood stove involves a lot more work than an oil furnace because you can’t forget about it. Sure, you might save some money, but it will cost dearly in other ways.
