The prices on products everywhere are always rising! Gas is almost $7 a gallon and I can’t find a banana for less than a dollar each.
The price on a loaf of bread has gone up to nearly $4 and a half gallon of milk is hovering around the same price.
Even sugar, flour, and eggs are 50% higher than a year ago, then for the average consumer, this can honestly spell serious trouble. I am the normal, average consumer. These crazy prices are causing a lot of problems for me. I have had to keep changing our diet, because I can no longer afford to buy the same groceries that I did a year ago. Since the pandemic, I have had to stop eating meat every single day. It’s just too extravagant unless I get the cheapest products available that are only going to make me unhealthy and unfit. I have had to reign back on the usage of our a/c as well. I have to keep the a/c set at 78 degrees. It feels particularly sizzling and humid in our lake house almost all of the time, however I simply can’t afford to adjust the thermostat to a temperature that is lower because that makes our electricity bill almost 30% higher. My friends commanded buying a smart thermostat to help save money on the heater and air conditioner bills, however I do not suppose that it’s wise to spend more money to see if I could save some money! Right now I am doing our very best to stay afloat until things go back to normal, assuming things will ever honestly return to normal.
