HVAC contractors aren’t well-liked, and I feel bad about it.
I think they deserve it, though.
I might feel sharply different if I worked for an HVAC company, take it personally that almost everyone I know doesn’t like me. However, I think we need to be realistic about the reason that people don’t like heating and cooling system companies – because they hate the high prices for repairs these companies charge. Now, it’s not only heating and cooling companies; many people feel the same way about electricians, plumbers, mechanics, etc. People don’t like paying high prices to get their equipment fixed, and their heating and cooling system is a perfect example of this. There would be more understanding if most of the money went to the HVAC specialist. However, heating and air specialists are paid lower than average in our area, which makes it unusual considering the high prices charged for labor. Honestly, people have just realized that HVAC companies are simply getting rich off the labor of their specialists, and I don’t think that people like it; sure, we could try to expect most people to change their minds, but I doubt anyone is going to change their mind about their opinion about HVAC companies. That is, unless these companies start charging more affordable prices or treating their specialists better. People are going to hate the Heating and HVAC company; I think it is up to these companies to change their minds.
